This is a great article. I knew of this phenomenon but didn't really have a term for it so thanks for sharing.
I wrote about the things we should be grateful for on Election Day, including the "essential workers" at the polls, without whom we could not conduct our elections.
They are braving a lot of risks to make the franchise available. They deserve genuine appreciation and respect.
